  • Overview / Responsibilities


    Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Senior Architecure Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.


    • Execute work in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, applicable Project Procedures and Standards.
    • Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Architectural Engineering and/or Design activities if necessary.
    • Responsible for administration and immediate direction of Architectural Engineering and design on a project.
    • Participate in design and checking work as required.
    • Technical and preliminary budget quotation supporting for cost estimate.
    • Prepared related Architectural section in the required permitting report.
    • Follow the ethics of confidentiality on technologies licensed by Client or Third Party.
    • Ensure that quality of design and drawings produced for enquiry and construction purposes on projects are of the specified standard.
    • Prepare requisitions for sub-contracts and procurement of materials. Issue material requisitions for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions. Review Subcontractor’s and Supplier’s quotations, participate in clarification meetings, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Subcontractor.
    • Hold co-ordination meetings with the Construction Department during the design phase and provide assistance to site when requested during the construction phase of a project.
    • Carry out the following functions relative to Subcontractors documentation:
      • Review document requirements and issue dates for major items with subcontractors at the pre-ward meeting.
      • Distribute Supplier documentation to the various Engineering and Drawing Office Groups and co-ordinate their comments. Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Supplier.
      • Correspond with the Contractor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary.
    • Liaise with other Group and Client as necessary
    • Advise the Principal Building Service Engineer Structure of:
      • Any major slippages and their causes and proposed corrective action.
      • All policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Groups
    • Review relevant project design work and in particular:
      • Piping Layouts and Model.
      • Instrument and Electrical Layout drawings.
      • Civil layouts.
    • Participate the design review workshops as necessary.
    • Prepare and finish the calculation report for energy efficiency as necessary.
    • Prepared related Architectural part report in the Project Close-out Report.
    • Execute the work within time frame required by department manager.


    Skills / Qualifications


    • Bachelor / Master Degree of architecture education background.
    • Registered engineer preferred, have medium or above grade Architecture engineering certificate with strong experiences in project design and construction of pharmaceutical industrial plants.
    • Familiar with architecture design specification and procurement technical supporting process.
    • Strong knowledge on architecture materials application and clean room requirements.
    • Effective communication skills with fluent spoken and written English
    • Ability to use computer tools.
    • Work independently
    • Strong interpersonal skill
    • Good teamwork player
    • Own Art sense as preference.
