  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood will potentially be awarded a large PMC Refinery project in Oman which is expected to run for around 3 years. If the project is awarded we are expected to start mobilizing successful candidates by Q2 2018. We do not yet know the confirmed EPC locations, but they are likely to be in Western Europe and the United Arab Emirates. Once work at the EPC locations has been completed, employees will be transferred to the Oman site to work on a residential status assignment.

    • Review and approve mechanical data sheets of rotating equipment and technical bid evaluation done by EPC contractor for rotating equipment
    • Review and approve vendor documentation of rotating equipment as required per ITB
    • Assist project by providing answers to EPC contractor’s waiver requests and RFI’s related to rotating equipment
    • Contribute and be involved in design, engineering, P&ID reviews, HAZOPs, HAZANs and safety reviews

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the industry
    • Experience in PMC / EPC organization in the field of refinery / petrochemicals industries in specification, selection, testing and handling design issues of all rotating equipment in major projects of value not less than US$ 500 Million each
    • Familiar with licensor packages as well as co-ordination experience is mandatory
    • Shall have the proven capability to independently handle process simulations and calculations and prepare optimization reports where necessary and as directed by owner
    • Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
