Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking Concrete Foreman candidates to join our team in Guam. This position includes, but is not limited to: managing crew of Concrete Finishers, Form Setters and laborers. Projects include: Form building and placing steel reinforcing for foundations, structures, slabs and site concrete. Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, sidewalks, walls, slabs, foundations, and curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. Align forms for walls, slabs, foundations, sidewalks, curbs and gutter; patch voids: and use saws to cut expansion joins. Read blueprints and survey stakes to obtain direction and elevations of slabs, structures and finished surface requirements. Safely operate equipment and be aware of surrounding personnel and structures. Make sound judgments regarding weather and existing conditions prior to pouring concrete.


Key Responsibilities

  • All tasks associated with Laborer, Concrete Finisher, and Form Setter
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance check
  • Checks forms that hold concrete to insure they are properly constructed
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way to ensure zero accidents
  • Ensure the safety of crew members
  • Understand the project plans and specifications; Utilize them when planning and executing the project
  • Manages field to minimize overtime; Communicates when overtime is required to team
  • Effectively identify concrete mixes and determine required equipment and procedures required to achieve desired finish and performance results
  • Determine required safety procedures based on job site conditions and materials encountered
  • Be able to communicate to a Superintendent the equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Clean equipment as necessary and perform or schedule routine maintenance
  • Safely load and secure equipment and attachments to transport vehicle
  • Recruit and train field personnel associated with your team
  • Ensure the crew meets daily production and quality goals
  • Appropriately solves problems and/or timely communicates needs to management
  • Proactively identifies needs, opportunities, and problems
  • Communicate effectively to all personnel on site, supervisors, administration and crew

Skills / Qualifications


  • High School or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Must be a US Citizen


  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • 1 year of concrete related work experience
