Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is looking for a Tax Specialist for Milan office.

 

  • Prepare monthly and annual VAT and CIT return for the Company and its Italian affiliates where required
  • Assist the nominated provider in the preparation of Patent Box, research and development credit and Transfer Pricing Study, including documentation requirements in accordance with the Italian Tax Code
  • Coordinate and prepare foreign tax credit calculations
  • Manage tax software and implement new features and updates (also by means of a monthly tax press review)
  • Assist during the SRP and annual provision process for the countries included in the region
  • Respond to related direct and indirect tax correspondence and research issues as they arise
  • Assist the Head of Tax during the Tax audits as they arise and prepare quarterly and annual Fin 48 calculation
  • Prepare monthly Intrastat declarations for Italy and provide information for foreign Intrastat
  • Assist the nominated provider in claiming FTC for expats’

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics required
  • Experience in a Big Four or major tax consultants preferred
  • Fluent in English and in Italian
  • 2/3 years’ experience with domestic corporate tax filings
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Excel & Word and experience with JDE and tax software
  • Good communication and writing skills to interact with various departments and with outside reporting jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
  • Experience with online accounting systems
