Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a Payroll Reconcilliation Accountant (temporary) to be based at our Knutsford offices. The role will involve the completion of the payroll balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and support resolution of timesheet queries and reporting.

  • Preparation and issue resolution on monthly payroll balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation and issue resolution on monthly consultants timesheet reconciliation
  • Management of inbound payroll journals
  • Primary contact for payroll shared services team.
  • Support on other balance sheet reconciliations as required
  • Detailed annual review of the add on cost rate used in Microsoft Dynamics for employee costs
  • Ongoing monitoring of the above rate against actuals and associated balance sheet position
  • Provide support to the business and wider finance team to resolve timesheet queries on a timely basis and improve timesheet completion levels
  • Support on weekly timesheet reporting
  • Provide cover for other key statistics reporting as required
  • Support the Finance Business Support Team on overhead projects as needed
  • Support MDAX improvement process (includes release testing)
  • Support process improvements / reporting efficiencies
  • Ad hoc analysis and query resolution

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Newly qualified or part qualified accountant
  • Strong system skills – Excel, MDAX (or similar) and Sharepoint
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload to deliver results within timescales
  • The ability to work as part of a team
