Overview / Responsibilities

Wood  is currently recruiting for a Naval Architect/Structural Engineer who must be proficient in the use of MOSES software.


This job requires contract support/agency staff to carry out a modification to an exisiting MOSES model of a floating structure. The modified model must then be re-run to determine whether the forces on the floating structure differ from the orginal model. A short technial report on the findings and the effects these findings have on the floating structure must be produced.

Skills / Qualifications

The successful candidate must

  • be fully competanct and experieinced with MOSES
  • be experienced in analysising the output of MOSES models
  • understand the implications of the output from MOSES models on the structure being modelled
  • have good written English and experience of producing technical reports
  • be a UK National
  • hold BPSS clearnace or be capable of attaining this level of clearance
