  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood has an opportunity for a Planning Engineer in our Singapore office. In this role you will provide a complete planning service to the project management team that has proven expertise in managing large, complex projects with a global reach. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in either the upstream oil and gas, midstream, LNG, refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and power industries.

     

    • Understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project including scope of services, conditions of contract, project execution plan, project schedule, etc
    • Work within the standard Planning / Scheduling procedures
    • Ensure that these procedures fulfil Client requirements and develop additional project-specific procedures where necessary
    • Produce current physical progress reports in line with project requirements
    • Prepare and issue project action reports (monthly) to Project Manager
    • Maintain accurate schedule and control curves in an updated condition and prepare forecasts of trends
    • Responsible for formulating manpower and man hour estimates for proposals or any other future work
    • Provide and maintain planning and scheduling statistics derived from completed projects

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Relevant degree or appropriate experience

      • A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Knowledge of Primavera P6 and spreadsheets, with database capability would be an advantage
