Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking to recruit a competent Engineering Coordinator as a member of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team, based at the Al-Zour site in Kuwait, responsible for HSSE delivery of KIPIC’s Al-Zour LNG Import Project.

 

  • Coordinate of the engineering works at Kuwait site
  • Monitor, review and approve key documentation to support timely procurement of materials and construction, installation and completion
  • Liaise with EPC Contractor, on behalf of KIPIC
  • Ensure assigned work is managed and delivered to KNPC technical satisfaction
  • Ensure that key KIPIC relationships are maintained at all levels within the project
  • Create and sustain a good team spirit within the Wood project team and KIPIC
  • Create and sustain a good team spirit with assigned geotechnical & marine, tankage and commissioning PMC support subcontractors
  • Interface with KIPIC and the Contractor for formal and informal reviews on technical matters with respect to engineering work
  • Provide technical input and direction as may be requested from time to time
  • Monitor and review design documentation originated by the EPC Contractor
  • Liaise directly with KIPIC and the EPC Contractor for review / approval of critical drawings and documents
  • Review and monitor the EPC Contractor’s and / or their Subcontractor’s engineering / design activities
  • Participate in key KIPIC reviews and meetings as required
  • Review and monitor the critical engineering and design activities performed by the EPC Contractor
  • Coordinate and resolve field engineering queries interfacing with construction and completions
  • Participate in monthly progress reviews with KIPIC and the EPC Contractor, KIPIC and Wood project progress reports and presentations as required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science / Engineering Degree
  • Minimum 12 years’ post graduate industrial experience
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in refinery and / or petrochemical industries
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Functional management, leadership and teambuilding skills
  • Strong HSE awareness and commitment
  • Prior PMC experience an asset
  • Prior Middle East experience an asset
