Overview / Responsibilities

QEDI has an opportunity for an experienced Technical Recruiter to work in our Abu Dhabi office. This will be a full-time position, focusing predominantly on commissioning resourcing.  


This role requires a pragmatic, delivery focused professional, who has proven experience recruiting and sourcing talent for a multi-national business and an excellent understanding of the Middle East market. The ideal candidate will also be numerate and commercially savvy with experience of recruiting for a number of global locations.


Key Objectives

  • Liaise between, HQ Technical Recruitment & Regional Project Delivery Manager and qedi Operations Team for current and future resource requirements
  • Proactively provide a pipeline of suitable candidates to support qedi AMEASE vacancies
  • Collate and Provide accurate data to support Regional Market Rates
  • Minimise Time to Hire periods and ensure that any proposal information is provided in a timely manner
  • Adhere to the Contractor / Staff Registration process and ensure all mandatory certification/ qualification is checked and where possible and verified prior to start date
  • Achieve monthly / weekly KPIs as set by Line manager
  • Instigating, leading and managing Recruitment campaigns and playing a key role in candidate generation


  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with members of Recruitment, Project Delivery and Operations functions
  • Work with key members within qedi regional offices to determine current and future personnel requirements
  • Responsible for the fulfilling the resourcing requirements for both external and internal client projects
  • Consistently using the job sites provided in order to source and generate candidates for current and upcoming projects
  • Take suitable candidates through the qedi registration process and ensure responses are uploaded into icims
  • Ensure adequate and relevant CV submissions are made in a timely manner
  • Responsible for effective vacancy management/reporting and highlighting any shortfalls to the hiring manager
  • Assist with project planning and key milestones for key projects
  • Understand the Terms and Conditions for the required personnel for projects and ensure particularly that they are clear and understood by the candidates
  • Understand and co-ordinate the requirements for work permits, visas, medicals and immunisation prior to mobilising personnel for project assignments
  • Providing accurate statistical weekly / monthly reporting in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all mandatory documentation is provided and checked prior to start dates
  • Ensuring that the new start check list is used to support the recruitment on boarding process, particularly for volume mobilisations
  • Ensure employment contracts are issued in a timely manner to all new starts and assist the HR operation team with timely mobilisation of new starts
  • Develop a commercial understanding of all relevant qedi projects and ensure that commercial is engaged as and when required
  • Liaise with AMEC Global Resources as required and develop a full understanding of international projects
  • Attend any client / project specific meetings and develop working relationships with our parent company / regional offices and associated clients

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree Qualification
  • 3 – 7 years of experience in similar role
  • Proven experience in Commissioning Resourcing and Recruitment Role
  • IT Literate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good team worker
  • Capable of working under pressure
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise
  • Display a positive “Can Do” Attitude
  • Be committed and driven to achieving KPI’s
