Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Controls Assistant to join their expanding operation in Teesside. The succesful candidate will support the planning and cost depertments within the Tees Valley Centre and  wider project controls systems.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work in compliance of the Wood processes and procedures
  • Taking part in Wood Customer Audits
  • Support the focus on customers such that the TVC is considered to provide best in class customer service
  • Support migration from COINS to MDAX finance system
  • Scan and file information for archiving and onward distribution
  • Collect weekly timesheets regardless of location
  • Process PAAF requests from projects
  • Collate and file PAAF requests
  • Liaise with external individuals to ensure timesheets are input in a timely manner
  • Submit timesheets to relevant agencies for all contractors
  • Provide timesheet reports for projects
  • Reconcile man hours between different timesheet systems
  • Prepare project indicator reports
  • Data input into Primavera P6 as directed by Planner
  • Input data into CTRm Progress Measurement Tool
  • Issue reports from CTRm
  • Ensure progress has been updated each week within CTRm
  • Prepare reconciliations to assist month end deadlines
  • Identify cost discrepancies
  • Prepare journals for posting into cost control system
  • Chase Aged Debt
  • Support to project cost engineers on Ad Hoc Basis

Skills / Qualifications

  • Organisational skills
  • Excel to the level of designing spreadsheets and pivot tables
  • Ability to present information in different formats to suit multiple users
  • Comfortable in presenting Project Controls information in Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Analytical Skills
