Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking to recruit a competent Construction Supervisor - Instruments as a member of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team based at the Al-Zour site in Kuwait, responsible for construction and completions delivery of KIPIC’s Al-Zour LNG Import Project.

 

  • Supervise construction and coordinate sub-contractors’ work at site to maximize the effectiveness of construction delivery to time, budget and quality objectives
  • Monitor and review construction related documentation to support timely construction installation and completion
  • Monitor, progress and review construction installation and completions by the EPC Contractor at site
  • Liaise with the EPC Contractor as directed
  • Ensure assigned work is managed and delivered to KIPIC satisfaction
  • Enhance and demonstrate commitment to raising HSE standards and proposing new initiatives or improvements
  • Monitor and review construction related documentation originated by the EPC Contractor
  • Review project studies and proposals for constructability and / or construction hazard identification
  • Monitor and review the EPC Contractor’s and their Subcontractors construction activities including resourcing thereof
  • Provide technical assistance to the construction supervision team
  • Assist in the resolution of technical queries arising at site and assist in the resolution of field construction queries interfacing with engineering and completions
  • Assist in the review and approval of sub-contractor’s method statements
  • Review “as built” drawings
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Monitor, appraise and report to KNPC on quality and safety construction performed by the EPC Contractor and their Subcontractors / Vendors

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering 
  • Minimum 10 years’ post-graduation experience
  • Minimum four years’ experience in the refinery, petrochemical and LNG industries
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • HSE awareness and commitment
  • Prior PMC experience is an asset
  • Prior Middle East experience is an asset
