  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking to recruit a telecommunications construction engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the construction and installation work done by the EPC contractor. This includes the construction and installation of outside plant duct banks and cabling, building structured cabling systems, systems cabinets, and field devices. Attendance of the daily construction meeting and verification of the reported progress are two key tasks in the work package of the telecommunications construction engineer. The telecommunications construction engineer will use Go-Completions as his daily tool to generate check sheets and to feedback actual construction progress.

     

    • Follow up with the EPC contractor on the construction planning and progress on a daily basis for all telecommunication systems including PAGA, LAN, Radio, Telephony, Security Systems, and their associated cabling and infrastructure
    • Oversee resolution and coordinate with EPC contractor for pending construction items and punch clearing
    • Verify installation of the IFC drawings and applicable standards
    • Follow up and verify the As Built documentation
    • Clarify on-site drawings and installation problems
    • Verify reported installation progress in line with the issued construction schedule
    • Report anticipated construction bottlenecks

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology
    • Minimum industrial experience: 12 years
    • Experience in process design: 5 years
    • Track record (past 8 years): Experience in PMC / EPC organizations and must have handled information technology related work / networking related to major projects of value not less than USD 500million each
