Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking applications from experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Designers for a major resource project in based in our Perth Office. The successful candidate with join a small dynamic team to complete the detailed design, construction and commissioning of a West Australian Gold Project.


  • Ensure designs are produced in accordance with project, discipline, statutory regulations, good practice and procedural requirements and ensure completion within required man hours and budget
  • Clear and timely communication regarding design change issues
  • Input to capital estimates including quantity calculations
  • Act as checker for other designers

Skills / Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma in Engineering Drafting and/or relevant trade qualifications or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years general design drafting experience
  • Understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation discipline and other discipline interfaces
  • Microstation 2D & 3D proficient
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively
  • Effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify risks and work safely

Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
