Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Finance Account Payable Query Handlers to work within the Accounts Payable and Expenses team, part of Europe Finance Shared Services. 


Responsibilities & Duties 

  • To deliver of an effective, efficient, best in class payables service, within the Europe Finance Shared Service (EFSS) operating environment, for multiple operating companies across Wood.
  • To ensure EFSS delivers against robust service level agreements and related performance KPI’s agreed between the EFSS and its internal customers
  • To review and optimise current payables processes, controls and procedures
  • Ensure that the high volumes of financial transactions and documents are processed in line with our strict deadlines for AP/Expenses
  • Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external key third party contacts
  • Ensure that we meet our statutory obligations with HMRC and outside bodies
  • Participate in the delivery of the effective and efficient processing and recording of financial transactions and associated documents in a high volume, target driven, customer centric Shared Service operating environment
  • Support and participate in the standardisation, simplification an automation of the Accounts Payable processes across the Operating Companies using Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
  • Handle Vendor queries to resolution
  • Reduce the number of Aged creditors on the ledgers
  • Knowledge of various ERP systems including COINS, MDAX, Agresso
  • Reconciliations of Supplier statements
  • Manage the GBS mail boxes for Accounts Payable
  • Working with the business to ensure the DAS approval forms are up to date
  • Manage effective seasonal volume changes so as to ensure targets, SLAs and KPIs are met consistently
  • Work with the Team and be a Team player
  • Ensure you provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers – always
  • Adhoc projects
  • Be flexible – cover for the other area’s in the department ie invoice processing, admin and expenses
  • Policies and procedures to be updated in line with legislation and Company
  • Accurate and have a good knowledge of Excel and Word

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience in a shared service operating environment
  • Relevant experience in a customer service focused organisation and a track record of delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills, inclusive of conflict resolution and relationship management
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and customer service skills
  • Outstanding organisational and planning skills
  • Strong understanding of P2P processing and payment systems
  • Strong understanding and application of relevant legislation for your area of work
  • The ability to challenge controls and performance
  • Excellent working knowledge of multi-currency ERP system
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (including Macros), MS Power Point and MS Word. 
  • Recent Graduates accepted
