Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Field Senior Project Engineer who will represent the company on-site at the Anagold - Çöpler Sulphide Expansion Project, which is located in Erzincan, East-Central Turkey. 


  • Assist field organization in resolving all technical discrepancies
  • Review and clarify the areas, packages, equipment which are critical or require close technical follow up and monitoring in field
  • Ensure necessary correspondence and liaison between Client and AmecFW home office personnel
  • Ensure liaison with AmecFW home office specialty disciplines regarding construction drawings
  • Ensure liaison with procurement department for equipment and material availability in field
  • Ensure necessary liaison with Client’s representatives in field on all technical matters inherent to design specifications, detailed engineering and Vendor documentations
  • Assist the field organization in resolving the outstanding matters in the construction drawings and Job specifications, etc. and provide remedial actions in order to solve any discrepancies and problems
  • Supervise the work carried out by field drafting personnel and supervisors; obtain approval on all modified or additional drawings/ sketches before issuing
  • Review consistency of the sub-contract requisition and assist the field organization in the technical interpretation of the sub-contract requisitions for erection & commissioning activities with relevant attachments
  • Mark in red and update the working copy of P&ID's set to reflect the latest changes or modifications occurred in field and obtain Client’s approval for changes when necessary
  • When specifically requested, coordinate and monitor the Vendor's assistance in field with particular care to the acceptance of critical equipment and packages, expediting the resolution of all technical outstanding matters in conjunction with field personnel
  • Coordinate field personnel to collect all "AS-BUILT" marked drawings in accordance with the contract requirements. Coordinate the drafting activities of the revisions in home office
  • Advise Project Manager or AmecFW Specialty disciplines about the comments rose during field assignment immediately and issue Quality Forms as per QAS Procedure
  • Ensure compliance with AmecFW Site HSSE Procedure

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a project management role on industrial projects
  • Mining experience is a big asset 
  • Previous Wood experience is highly beneficial
  • Graduate of Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
  • Leadership and decision-making skills
  • Fluent in English
