Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) to support a large international design / build construction project on behalf of the US Government in Redzikowo, Poland. Candidate will maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production and finished products as well as recording quality results.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests
  • Rejects and returns unacceptable materials
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests. Communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests. Returning products for re-work and confirming re-work
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste and inputting data into quality database
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures as well as complying with legal regulations
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Reviews submittals and RFIs from suppliers for compliance with specifications and drawings
  • Works with Document Management/Document Control Team to process responses to RFIs and submittals within the SharePoint environment
  • Supports Construction Management Team by supervising subcontractors within his/her relevant discipline and provides feedback to Site Managers and Construction Managers

Skills / Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience to perform key responsibilities
  • 3 to 7 years of industry experience
  • Ability to analyzing information and report research results
  • Documentation skills, promoting process improvement and safety management
  • Ability to manage processes, manufacturing methods and procedures
  • Support innovation, CAD, quality engineering and operations research
  • Ability to use laboratory test equipment in an effective and safe manner, understand procedural manuals and execute work orders
  • Prepare reports and documentation independently
  • Pay close attention to detail, train others, work independently and follow directions
  • Experience with SharePoint is a plus
