Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting Engineer - Fire Protection for its process discipline. The position is based in its chennai office, India.

 

  • Comply with AmecFW’s / Clients / Regulatory procedures and implement specific fire protection code & regulations all projects assigned with
  • Prepare Fire Protection and Fire & Gas detection System Philosophy / Specification, Fire Water Demand Calculations, Datasheets, Deluge/Foam system P&ID and calculations, etc.,
  • Prepare Fire Equipment and F&G Layout
  • Perform firewater ring-main hydraulic analysis
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines

Skills / Qualifications

  • B.Tech in Fire / Chemical / Mechanical (Preferred) / M.Tech – Fire Engineering (Desirable)
  • Post qualification 2 - 6 years of relevant experience is essential
  • Knowledge on Indian and international HSE standards like NFPA, OISD, IP, API, BS, etc., is essential
  • Hands on experience in FATHOM / PIPENET is essential
  • Membership in Professional Organisations (Desirable)
