  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is recruiting for a Technical Assistant to be based at our Barnwood office in Gloucester.

     

    The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting Wood’s Nuclear business through helping monitor and inform delivery performance under our key frameworks with major nuclear customers. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience within Wood with the potential to develop further along a number of other technical or managerial career paths.   

     

    Skills / Qualifications

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Support the Back Office in maintaining internal KPIs set by internal and external Customers.
    • Assist in the generation of weekly and monthly reporting requirement using Microsoft Excel.
    • Aid the Back Office in continuous improvement activities working towards ensuring the most efficient use of systems, processes and procedures.
    • Interact with customer Back Offices exchanging information and data to resolve queries.
    • Maintains successful working relationships with other Wood staff and, to a limited extent, with customers.
    • Works in a safe and sustainable manner and strives for continuous improvement in these areas.

     

    Role requirements:

    • Good Excel skills
    • Good numerical skills
    • High attention to detail
    • Good communication skills
    • Able to work independently and also as part of a team
    • Able to occasionally travel to multiple Wood offices in different locations within the UK.

     

    The following are an advantage but are not essential:

    • Skilled in contract management
    • Skilled in financial or cost management software
