Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting a CAD Technician to join our Environment and Infrastructure engineering team, working on infrastructure projects in either our London or Bristol office.


The successful candidate will contribute to the project engineering design input at all stages from feasibility and ‘optioneering’ through to the production of detailed designs for procurement and construction.



Key Duties


  • Production of computer aided design drawings to clients engineering standards and specifications and ensuring design deliverables meet required stands of accuracy and quality
  • Working in conjunction with Multi-disciplinary engineers – civil, structural, process, mechanical & electrical/ICA  


Skills / Qualifications

  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit and Navis works design software preferred, vehicle tracking software
  • Ability to work accurately, flexibly and to integrate their work with other discipline areas, whilst working to tight programme and budget constraints.
  • Have a heightened awareness of personal safety and a good understanding of the CDM Regulations.
  • Ability to travel and visit operational and construction sites as required, to act in a safe manner
  • BIM experience desirable.
