Wood has a long established but still growing team of over 70 ecologists, delivering high quality services on projects in a variety of sectors, including: transport; renewables; nuclear; other power; oil and gas; industry; waste; minerals; property; and the public sector. We are seeking to recruit a talented and ambitious consultant ecologist to join our new office in central Birmingham, whilst also working closely with ecologists in the company’s long-established Leamington Spa and Shrewsbury offices. The successful candidate will assist in delivering projects across a wide range of sectors.

We are looking for a candidate who has previous consultancy experience including undertaking extended Phase 1 habitat and protected species surveys on development sites as well as fulfilling the role of an Ecology Clerk of Works. You should also have experience of managing small projects (e.g. for survey tasks), undertaking client / team liaison and delivering reports on time and to budget. You would be supporting an established team of ecologists with a broad range of expertise and be expected to provide assistance and support for our ongoing workload.
