Wood has a long established but still growing team of over 70 ecologists, delivering high quality services on projects in a variety of sectors, including: transport; renewables; nuclear; other power; oil and gas; industry; waste; minerals; property; and the public sector. We are seeking to recruit a talented and ambitious assistant consultant ecologist to join our new office in central Birmingham, whilst also working closely with ecologists in the company’s long-established Leamington Spa and Shrewsbury offices. The successful candidate will assist in delivering projects across a wide range of sectors.

We are looking for a candidate who has some previous consultancy experience including undertaking extended Phase 1 habitat and protected species surveys on development sites. Some experience of fulfilling the role of an Ecological Clerk of Works would also be beneficial, as would experience in delivering reports on time and to budget. You would be supporting an established team of ecologists with a broad range of expertise and be expected to provide assistance and support for our ongoing workload.
