  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Fire Protection Engineer with relevant experience in the refinery, oil & gas and petrochemical industry.


    • Ensure AmecFW’s / Clients / Regulatory procedures are implemented in all projects assigned with
    • Prepare / Check Fire Protection and Fire & Gas detection System Philosophy / Specification, Fire Water Demand Calculations, Datasheets, Deluge/Foam system P&ID and calculations, etc.,
    • Perform / Review firewater hydraulics
    • Participate in Engineering Reviews such as Plot Plan reviews, Model review and Constructability Review as required.
    • Participate in Safety Reviews such as HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, EERA, QRA Studies, etc. as required.
    • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, vendors and client
    • Populate the Project Lessons Learnt Database and implement agreed suggestions on future projects.
    • Compile technical documentation for Statutory approval

    Skills / Qualifications

    • B.Tech in Fire / Chemical / Mechanical (Preferred) / M.Tech – Fire Engineering (Desirable)
    • Post qualification 7 - 14 years of experience is essential
    • Knowledge on Indian and international HSE standards like NFPA, OISD, IP, API, BS, etc., is essential
    • Hands on experience in FATHOM / PIPENET is essential
    • Membership in Professional Organisations (Desirable)
