  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently looking for a commercially astute Contract Manager with a strong Maintenance background to strengthen our team in Qatar. 

    • Use proven leadership qualities to organise a large site maintenance team of different disciplines and manage the site organisation independently
    • Manage and maintain a positive client relationship with the Maintenance Manager, the Production Manager, and the Site VP, as well as various contract engineers
    • Provide fully considered responses and challenge the customer where required in a constructive manner
    • Passion and Energy for HSSE issues and developing the culture
    • Can develop and maintain a high performing team culture
    • Managing maintenance organisation during emergencies
    • Using CMMS to report cost and KPI performance
    • Maintaining a competency management system for all employees
    • Organise materials and equipment
    • Plan associated activities and acquire the resources to mobilise all required personnel and equipment on time

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum of 15 years experience in maintenance work, preferably mechanical, in the Petrochemical or Petroleum Refining industry of which at least 10 years as a Supervisor and 5 years as a Site Manager
    • Proven experience in improving staff productivity in an operating site and creatively work with the company to remove any blockers to efficiency
    • Preferably Degree qualified minimum in Mechanical discipline or standards based qualification
    • Must have in-depth knowledge of managing a Norms based contract
    • Must be fully aware of safety aspects of working in a Petrochemical industry
    • Must be fully aware of quality systems and can perform regular audits
    • Must be familiar with different Process Equipment, welding techniques, welding tools and equipment, testing and quality control measures
    • Must be aware of Industry Standards and Relevant International Codes
