Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a Commercial Officer for an exciting client project. The successful candidate will administer the main Contract with the Employer and developing and commercially managing subcontracts. Therefore, role title is Commercial Officer and AXIOM grade is Procurement Officer.


To develop an in-depth knowledge of the Contract and subcontract conditions of contract to be able to support the delivery team as required.


Provide independent local responsibilities in both areas of commercial administration including client correspondence, change control, forecasting and subcontract management. 


Key interface between SL Commercial Team and AXIOM central team Commercial Manager. 


Familiarity with CEMAR contract management system preferred.


No commercial Procurement systems are used therefore flexibility and good administrations skills required.

Skills / Qualifications

  • 5+ years relative experience
  • Nuclear and/or EPC exposure preferred
  • Experience working with NEC3
  • Professional Qualification
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage individualsThe position is subject to the ability of the candidate to obtain as a minimum baseline personnel security standard clearance and obtain a Sellafield P4 pass. 
  • The successful candidate must be based in Cumbria, or be prepared to relocate there. Please note, no relocation package is attached to this role.
  • The role holder must either hold SC clearance or have started their application, with the belief of the employer that there should be no grounds for this level of clearance to be denied.
