  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Amec Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wood Plc, has been awarded the Asset Management Services Contract, to deliver the full scopes of maintenance services and projects execution for the Malampaya Project, one of the most significant energy investments in the history of the Philippines. The Malampaya facilities are situated at offshore Palawan, onshore gas plant in Batangas and our office is at Northgate Cyberzone, Filinvest City, Muntinlupa City.


    We are currently hiring for a QHSE Lead who will provide overall leadership, coordination and facilitation of QHSE activities, delivered against Wood and client expectations. Focuses on managerial concerns of QHSE policies and practices for the assignment. Provides resolution to issues and monitors integration of health and safety programmes including hazard and risk identification, incident reporting and investigation, employee health and well-being, environmental hygiene and organisational transformation.


    • Promote safety of the workforce, environment and process facility (understand and promote risk management key process)
    • Prepare and manage the Overall QA / QC plans
    • Co-ordinate and maintain 3rd party inspection and Certification for the contract and projects
    • Develop and manage QHSE budget plans with Contract Performance Manager
    • Provide consistent, visible leadership to ensure strong individual and team motivation and productivity
    • Set clear expectations for individuals and teams. Communicates Assignment QHSE roles and responsibilities and provide ongoing coaching and support
    • Take stewardship of and monitors the effectiveness of programmes to continuously improve HSE performance on the assignment
    • Develop and deploy new QHSE programmes to improve QHSE leadership and performance
    • Monitor the recording, reporting and analysis of QHSE performance metrics including both leading and lagging indicators for the assignment
    • Ensure external regulatory interfaces are in place and are managed effectively
    • Investigate significant incidents personally and oversees supervised incident investigations for the Assignment and recommends future preventive measures
    • Liaise with Wood corporate and assignment leaders to ensure contract keeps abreast of best QHSE practices
    • Promote the principles of fairness and equity in line with the company’s stated core values

    Skills / Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent qualification

    Minimum Experience:

    • 10 years QHSE experiences in E&P operations

    Job-Specific Skills:

    • Familiarity with the Philippines QHSE Regulations
    • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
    • Effective written and oral communication skills
    • Strong computer literacy
    • Good understanding of offshore operations QHSE Management
    • Experience and understanding of audit processes
    • Set clear QHSE expectations and cascade / understood by the organization
    • Development and effective delivery of Assignment QHSE training programmes
    • Personal governance and stewardship of QHSE activities performed under the contract
    • Planning and progressing of the agreed level of QHSE activities and inspections
    • Compliance with management system requirements across the Assignment
    • Company policies, procedures and directions relating to the management of people are complied with
    • Assures compliance with statutory and corporate QHSE regulations and requirements
    • Effective and timely QHSE reporting
    • Internal and external benchmarking of QHSE performance demonstrating sustained improvement in leading and lagging indicators
    • Intervenes in organizational / quality processes relating to the HSE function on the Assignment
    • Ensure IMPact items are addressed and closed out within required timeframes
