  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for an E&I Supervisor to work on the construction. This position will be on a Fixed Term Contract basis.


    • Witness continuity test / megger of cable drums prior to installation
    • Witness installation, testing of grounding, earthing system
    • Perform Surveillance Inspection of conduit and cable tray installation, conduit seal pouring and cable terminations
    • Assist with Receipt Inspection of transformers and MCCs (if purged, perform Surveillance Inspection periodically to ensure positive pressure is maintained)
    • Witness installation of MCCs, switchgear and transformers
    • Assist with Receipt Inspection of heat trace cables, related materials and instruments
    • Perform Surveillance Inspection of in-process installation to ensure that heat tracing is installed per specifications
    • Witness post-installation testing of heat tracing for acceptance inspection 
    • Perform Surveillance Inspection of instrument calibration and in-process instrument installation
    • Verify instrument tubing is properly supported per specifications
    • Verify all the instrument electrical installation inspections and the completed and accepted megger tests
    • Perform Surveillance Inspection of Instrument Loop Checking
    • Verify all installation inspections, pressure testing and completed continuity checks documented by the Contractor 
    • Verify if the loop has been checked and is operating properly

    Skills / Qualifications

    • A graduate of Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
    • Excellent computer literacy and skills
    • Basic leadership and decision-making skills
    • Basic computer software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
    • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
    • Fluent in English
