Wood has an opportunity in Singapore for a THSE Engineer. In this role, you will become a valuable, well-rounded member of an experienced team, with responsibility for process safety issues and deliverables on projects at all stages of the design process.

This position will be based in our Glasgow Office, working within the Foster Wheeler Upstream organisation. The role will be assigned across our Product Groups, serving the requirements of our client's Onshore and Offshore facilities. It offers an excellent and exciting opportunity to develop your existing talents.

We are currently looking for a professional with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance on projects across the full life cycle, from studies and FEED to EPC, to ensure that Foster Wheeler continues to differentiate itself from its competitors by delivering quality projects to our client’s requirements.

• Prepare and execute process safety activities and deliverables including HSE Philosophies, HSE Plans, consequence modelling, HAZOP, HAZID and SIL
• Write Health and Safety Plans and Philosophies
• Conduct safety studies and risk assessments, both qualitative and quantitative
• Conduct process safety reviews and audits
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZIDS and SIL reviews, sometimes as Chairman
• Responsible for all process safety issues and deliverables primarily during the FEED and the detailed design phases of projects
• Meet project deadlines and milestones for deliverables
• Liaise with project management and client
• Interpret process safety related legislation and standard

• Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering
• Membership in a recognised professional institution
• Experience within an engineering contractor or consultancy, operator, or other relevant organisation
• Broad experience of a range of process safety topics, with the ability to demonstrate understanding across these topics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability and willingness to undertake new challenges
• Flexible to work across a number of energy, oil and gas, refining and petrochemical sectors
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office skills and general computing skills
• Proven ability to conduct technical work within budgetary and time constraints
• Experience working across multiple business sectors
