  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is looking for a Senior Subcontract Administrator to maintain control of subcontractors at work site and / or yard to ensure compliance with subcontract requirements, project standards and established department procedures and practices.

     

    • Issue and negotiate Subcontract Change Requests
    • Analyze field subcontract quotations for changes and extra works
    • Check and authorize subcontract monthly payment requests
    • Participate to weekly progress meetings with subcontractors
    • Liaise with home office Subcontracts Manager and Subcontracts Administration Leader
    • Check and approve unit prices accounting submitted by subcontractors
    • Evaluate subcontractor’s claims and back charges
    • Conduct economic and efficient administration of subcontracts for the total project
    • Maintain all contractual subcontractor correspondence
    • Provide monthly Subcontract Status Report
    • Administer quantity survey functions as required to support proper subcontracts administration and subcontracts close-out

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Trades Experience
    • Job-site construction experience preferably in the oil, gas, chemical or utility sectors. Previous Field Subcontract Engineer or Quantity Surveyor
    • Knowledge of basic construction law and contracts language
    • Knowledge of construction scheduling and its commercial importance
    • Ability to read any design drawings and specifications
    • 10 years field and office experience in all aspects of the subcontract administration
    • Fluent in English
    • Italian mother tongue
    • Good organization, written and oral skills
    • Works well in multi facet team situation
    • Works within the frame of defined project procedures
    • Generates creative solutions
    • Demonstrates attention to detail
    • Presents numerical data and analysis effectively
    • Upholds organizational values
