  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood are currently sourcing Operations Engineers to join the Operations team in Aberdeen & Glasgow.

    Please note this position is an EOI (Expression of Interest) and not live at this stage. 

    The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following duties:

    To contribute to the efficient delivery of Operations Projects assigned to the full satisfaction of both the client and Wood OMS.

    Provide Oil & Gas production knowledge to all operating manual & procedural development projects.

    Advise the lead Operations Engineer on any deliverable potential development problems.

    Ensure all assigned project deliverables are completed within the allocated timeline and development hours.

    Liaise with clients for technical clarifications in relation to operations projects work scopes.

    Support the Lead Operations Engineer in the provision of data for project progress reports.

    Attend Client technical meetings.   

    Skills / Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • ONC / City & Guilds or equivalent in an appropriate technical discipline.

    Minimum Experience:

    • Practical experience in an operator role within oil and gas production operations, marine or petrochemical industries.

    Job-Specific Skills:

    • Ability to communicate effectively within project teams and across supporting departments.
    •  Ideally we are looking for people with experience in front line production operations .

    General:

    • Perform work and conduct in accordance with Company Core Values and Ethics Policy.

    Discipline Specific:

    • Technical writing capability.
    • Sound understanding of oil & gas production operations, including platforms, floaters and subsea.
