  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently bidding for a large Maintenance Project in Middle East. If awarded the work, we will have a requirement for a EHS Manager to join the business. 


    • Develop & Implement environment, health and safety policies and procedures at the CLIENT
    • Managing the operational compliance of EHS responsibilities
    • Develop and implement safety, risk and training systems
    • Promote EHS performance improvement
    • Liaising with mine and refinery management regarding Environment, health & safety initiatives and concerns
    • Conducting audits and incident investigations
    • Lead the investigations of serious accidents or incidents having the potential for serious consequences facilitate root cause analysis evaluation.
    • Audit contractor compliance, training, and record keeping.
    • Coordinate the implementation of any Contractor Safety Programs.
    • Participate in the review and approval of Safety Health and Environmental Action Plans and attend pre-bid and pre-job conferences.
    • Co-ordination and supervision of EHS activities on site
    • Lead, develop and monitor performance of the mine and refinery EHS team.
    • Provide guidance  and  training  in  EHS  matters  to  CLIENT Management

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
    • Minimum 12 years’ experience in Refinery or Petrochemical Plant
    • Environmental, Health and Safety
    • Strong supervisory background with sound practical experience in multi-national culture.
    • English proficiency: Fluent both in speaking and writing.
