  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently bidding for a large Maintenance Project in Middle East. If awarded the work, we will have a requirement for a Scheduler to join the business. 


    • Receives, logs and processes all work orders, ensuring conformance with the Maintenance Work Order.
    • Prepares detailed job step plans in proper execution sequence, with details of craft man-hour and crew size requirements for each step. Utilizes extensive knowledge of craft skills and knowledge of the equipment involved and places job steps in the proper sequence to ensure efficient completion of work to meet operational requirements. Visits job sites when necessary to determine special job requirements.
    • Oversees PM activities in the assigned area as necessary.
    • Identifies all materials, tools, equipment, and special preparations required for each job step. Possesses a good working knowledge of the SAP  PM  system  and  the  Material  Management  Catalog,  requisitioning  of  stock  items,  requisitioning  of  Direct  Charge Materials, use of surplus materials, and procedures for returning surplus and excess materials to the Warehouse. Provides the foremen with a completed package for  successful  execution  of maintenance work at minimum cost. Ensures that materials are on-site prior to scheduling the job. Ensures that surplus and excess materials are returned to the proper materials handling personnel for eventually returned to the Warehouse.
    • Arranges for and schedules support service equipment, to coincide with the work order scheduling.
    • Participates in the Weekly/Schedule Coordination Meeting and presents the Weekly Schedule of workable maintenance jobs from the backlog. Ensures that a clear understanding exists of which jobs will be worked in the upcoming week. Finalizes the Weekly Schedule for Operations approval.
    • Prepares daily schedules from the approved Weekly Schedule, according to Coordinates daily schedules with Maintenance Foremen, Supervisor and Operations Foremen and ensures that a complete planning package is attached to the work order.
    • Maintains work order and equipment history files and is responsible for checking and ensures data is entered. Ensures accuracy of all related maintenance systems data files.
    • Provides maintenance performance monitoring data for his assigned area, segment, unit or division (depending on the organizational pattern and assignment).

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 to 12 years’ experience.
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in maintenance planning in petrochemical.
    • Minimum 8 years familiarized with SAP  PM  and  MM  Module, inclusive of primavera planning tools.
