  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently bidding for a large Maintenance Project in Middle East. If awarded the work, we will have a requirement for a Planner to join the business. 

      

    • Receives maintenance work requests
    • Check / review for work request completeness
    • Walk-job locates for field verification
    • Check Work request for clarity with originator / operations
    • Review with Engineer and Field supervisor prior to planning the Job
    • Plan /  arrange  work  requirements,  insulation,  scaffolding,  and services
    • Estimates work request man-hours with corresponding skills and numbers.
    • Prepare material lists, spare parts lists, equipment and services required for the execution of maintenance works
    • Prepare requisition  (pick  list)  and  order  for  warehouse  stock materials
    • Request / Expedite and follow-up materials for non-stock materials
    • Request for services relating to the work. (Vacuum truck, crane, forklift, etc.)
    • Plan weekly maintenance schedule and submit to scheduler
    • Prepare Job package for all Jobs estimated more than one shift as required. Includes  P&ID,  Vendor  drawings,  bar  chart,  bill  of materials, Isometric drawings, CLIENT procedures etc.
    • Provide job package and prepare PR for 3rd party services for quotation and send to client for review and approval.
    • Arrange third-party services through third-party coordinator (global & non- global).
    • Compiles needed engineering drawings, technical data and vendor materials for library filings.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly management report for outstanding
    • work requests.
    • Review and schedule the backlog as per materials and services availability.
    • Review and correct the 2weeks look ahead schedule for routine and preventive maintenance (PM) program.
    • Develop standardized work plan for routine repetitive task.
    • Ordering of spares, material etc. as per advice from maintenance specialist.
    • Monitoring work progress, carrying out work and time study for planned and unplanned activities respectively.
    • Preparation of detail plan for shutdown activities using primavera project planner.
    • Coordination of activities between various disciplines.
    • Participation in various meeting between planning, manufacturing, project engineering, inspection and maintenance as needed.
    • Need very well familiar with SAP PM and MM Module, inclusive of primavera planning tools.
    • Conduct monthly safety audit

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering discipline
    • Must have a minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning in petrochemical.
    • Minimum 5 years familiarized with SAP PM and MM Module, inclusive of primavera planning tools.
