  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently bidding for a large Maintenance Project in Middle East. If awarded the work, we will have a requirement for a Maintenance Supervisor -Mechanical (Static) to join the business. 

      

    • Obtain weekly work schedule from planning department.
    • Review routine work request and pm look ahead issued by planning dept.
    • Review and site verifies each job on schedule.
    • Obtain and review CLIENT procedures.
    • Review and check blinding locations as per blind  lists  from operations.
    • Obtain lifting procedures, as job requires.
    • Create job safety analysis / task risk analysis.
    • Obtain work permits for individual job request
    • Ensure work permits are signed in the field by both maintenance & operations.
    • Discuss each scheduled job to foremen and craftsmen, prior to execution.
    • Interface with other disciplines (i.e. fabrication, scaffold, insulation etc.).
    • Acquire inspection recommendation if necessary.
    • Check and make sure availability of outside services based upon planned work request.
    • Obtain job package from planning department as necessary.
    • Review each job packages; write comments and send back to planning.
    • Attend emergency work request from operations call.
    • Verify and check materials for each emergency work requests.
    • Filled up actual   man-hours   and   closed   work   request   upon completion.
    • Filled up preventive maintenance form for critical equipment after execution.
    • Obtain defeat form from operations for planned critical equipment’s before execution.
    • Send for calibration and follow to dresser rand pressure safety valves.
    • Conduct field safety audits and write recommendations based on observations for improvement.
    • Knowledge of SAP module.
    • Work permit receiver and approvers as per CLIENT work permit system
    • Fully familiar with the EH&S critical device requirements for defeat.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum 10-12 years’ experience in refinery or petrochemical plant
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance supervision in refinery or petrochemical plant.
    • Experience in maintenance of Steam crackers, High pressure steam boiler, exchangers, Tower / column, Water treatment plant, Sea water / Cooling water system Polymer High pressure plant fixed and rotating equipment. Experience in maintenance of HP / Hyper reciprocating compressor, Screw compressor, rotary feeders, blower extruder, transfer line, Tubular reactor, pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, exchangers, Sea water system etc.
    • Strong supervisory background with sound practical experience in multi- national and  multi-craft   
    • Familiarity  with  maintenance programs, specifications, Codes,  practices and procedures and or experience in commissioning activities.
    • English proficiency: Fluent in Writing and Speaking
