  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently requesting expressions of interest for a HSE Advisor to join our team to support operations across Victoria.This role requires generalised skills, experience, knowledge and involvement in all areas of HSE. The emphasis is provision of effective planning, management and execution of HSE policies and processes within an oil & gas environment as per Wood, client and regulatory requirements.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for coaching and mentoring maintenance and shutdown workforces. Specifically around, safe and quality behaviours, accountability for safety and quality, toolbox talks, interventions and creating a ‘zero harm” and “Do it right, Do it once” culture within the Project Team
    • Understands maintenance and Shutdown scopes and associated risks and is responsible for the facilitation of risk registers, legal compliance register and manages the associated process for populating
    • Creates and delivers against the HSE management and assurance schedules
    • Leads teams in identifying, implementing and continually improving HSE processes and procedures for accomplishing work

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Certificate IV or Diploma HSE or equivalent
    • Broad HSE experience in O&G, onshore/offshore, maintenance and shutdown areas
    • Familiarisation with O&G or construction and other relevant legislation and regulations
    • 5 years in a technical role, or association with HSE role in another industry
    • Previous experience and sound knowledge of Australian Standards
    • Strong HSE planning and organisational skills
    • Accident/incident Investigator, e.g. Taproot/Top-Set/ICAM
    • Confined Space and Work at Heights competency
    • Effective/competent MS office suite user
    • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
    • Excellent presentation skills
