  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is recruiting for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Package Manager for the Albemarle Kemerton Project.


    The Albemarle Kemerton Plant is a world scale, greenfield Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate production plant to be located at the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area approximately 160 km south of Perth, Western Australia, and 17 km north-east of the existing port town of Bunbury.  


    The Albemarle Kemerton Plant will initially comprise of three (3) trains, each producing 20,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate. First product target by 2020. Expansion to five (5) trains will take the ultimate site production to 100,000 tpa by around 2025. Wood has been appointed by Albemarle to implement the Albemarle Kemerton Plant. 


    As Electrical & Instrumentation Package Manager you will have experience of the following:


    • Demonstrable commitment to project HSSE culture
    • EPCM Delivery of electrical and instrumentation work scopes ranging from $50m - $100m in value
    • Ability to lead a team of Engineers, Superintendents & Supervisors in delivering a complex E&I scope of work
    • Proven contractor management capabilities. Including HSSE, schedule, quality and technical aspects
    • Use of project schedule as an active planning tool
    • Experience of producing and interpreting weekly reporting to understand and mitigate project riskAbility to understand the broader context of the project and make best for project decisions
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service focus
    • Demonstrable leadership capability to deliver results through cross-cultural, multifunctional teams
    • Proven project / construction management skills & experience, including a relevant electrical / instrumentation tertiary qualification and 10+ years professional / industry experience in similar roles

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Engineering Degree (or similar) or appropriate trades qualification coupled with suitable working experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills
    • A positive, "can do" attitude
    • Extremely high client serving standards are essential
