    Wood is expecting a contract award by August 2018 for a project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.


    We would be looking to hire a number of Engineering professionals upon contract award. We will contact you if your CV was found suitable to discuss a project and position details. 


    We are currently sourcing a Lead Process Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;

    • Take full technical responsibility for the engineering and design of the project related to Process discipline areas
    • Take responsibility for the correctness and quality of technical work executed or oversee through input from company’s technical expertise
    • Must have executed pipeline and gas compressor station projects as the lead engineer for detailed engineering with an engineering contractor
    • Full involvement and contribution in design, engineering, P&ID reviews, HAZOP, HAZID and safety reviews is essential
    • Shall have the proven capability to independently handle process simulations and calculations and prepare optimization reports where necessary and as directed by client
    • Deliver project phases through concept, FEED, detailed design and commissioning for industries including upstream and midstream oil and gas (offshore & onshore)
    • Develop feasibility studies for new and modification of existing facilities
    • Execute technical work for FEED and detailed design within designated Cost Time & Resource (CTR) scopes
    • Provide operation optimization for the ongoing oil and gas process plants
    • Interface with other departments and disciplines to ensure Process designs meet with their needs and requirements
    • Support operations by providing technical supports, root causes analysis and going to site to obtain the necessary information and work with operation closely
    • Provide advice and experience to the client on a regular basis
    • Prepare scope of work, technical bid evaluation and analyses and make recommendations
    • Review and approve equipment selection and specification for design
    • Provide design guidance to construction contractor to perform the engineering works according to the requirements, Specification and International standards.
    • Arrangement of project specifications for engineering works development
    • Management of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activities
    • Support business development initiatives and prepare cost effective proposals
    • Provide coaching and mentoring for direct reports
    • Support the development and retention of motivated and competent people

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Proven experience of Lead Process Engineer positions
    • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering
    • Minimum 15 years’ experience in oil and gas industry
    • Exposure to management of major capital projects is required
    • Familiar with HYSYS, PIPESIM, PIPENET, Pipeline Studio (TGNet / TLNet), SPS
    • Proven Knowledge and experience of pipeline and gas compressors
    • Overseas experience is essential with experience in the Middle-East preferable
    • Good level of spoken and written English
