    Wood is recruiting for a Scaffolding Lead to work on the ITER Project based in Aix-en-Provence, France.




    • Scaffolding and site coordination and other shared services Management on ITER Site
    • Takes direction from and interacts directly with the CMA Site Coordination Manager
    • Responsible for the operational management of the Scaffolding and other Shared Services contract (Cleaning, …) including cost estimate and invoice checking
    • Manage the interface with the Works Contractor and the CMA Construction Supervisors
    • Responsible for the supervision of contractors compliance with the Scaffolding and other Shared Services requirement
    • Responsible for acceptance of scaffolding (with mandatory documentation) from the contractors
    • Assist IO with the tender process for scaffolding services procurement
    • Coordinate the general multi discipline site activities
    • Form strong relationships with the CMA Construction Team and the H&S Team
    • Focus on delivery, value for money and value creation activities


    Skills / Qualifications

      • International shared services management experience managing contractors in a large scale project environment
      • Leadership of a multi-national joint venture(s) and cognisance of different cultural requirements and behaviours
      • Experience in programme and project management including the establishment and maintenance of complex and integrated schedules
      • Knowledge of the European regulations for specific Scaffolding Requirement (material, installation, initial and periodic inspection).
      • Qualified scaffolding inspector following the European Regulation or other recognised system
      • Extensive international Construction experience
      • Fluent in English, with additional French (desirable).
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with creative solution and problem solving skills
