  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Human Resource Manager based in Kuala Lumpur / Singapore on a permanent full time basis. The Human Resource Manager is a business partner to the SVP Operations South East Asia along with their leadership team to provide direction, advice and counsel in effective people management practices. The Human Resource Manager also plays a prominent role in the development and execution of the business plan and will be accountable for developing and implementing the People & Organisation action plan in support of business objectives. This role reports directly to the VP People and Organisation Asia Pacific and leads the delivery of the people agenda across South East Asia.  



    • Build a high-performing People & Organisation team with strong business partnering skills to provide innovative solutions to support leaders across the entire employee life-cycle.
    • Drive and influence people priorities including lead employee engagement framework for line delivery and deliver on agreed talent priorities;
    • Lead change management and mitigate risk through effective employee and industrial relations.
    • Support the business in shaping strategy, programs, priorities and policies that are aligned to and will enhance business performance and results.
    • Provide functional tender and bid support for future opportunities.
    • Deliver day to day responsibilities and functional priorities that are aligned with the needs of the business, with a focus on the implementation of efficient and cost effective practices, programs and services.
    • Provide counsel to the operations Leadership Team on people related issues, forming robust stakeholder relationships with the leadership team and customers.
    • Drive employee communication and engagement at all levels to achieve positive employee relations and minimum voluntary turnover
    • Participate in emergency response activities ensuring effective P&O support.
    • Support the governance of P&O policy application, ensuring compliance with relevant Group standards, regulatory requirements and operating procedures.
    • Lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the group’s standards and policies.

    Skills / Qualifications


    • Degree qualified in HR related or Business management qualification – preferred
    • Experience and successful achievement in senior business-focused Human Resources roles within a dynamic, international organisations
    • A strong track record in change management, putting high emphasis on co-operation and business partnership across the company
    • Sound depth of knowledge of applicable legislative frameworks, industrial and employee relations for appropriate multiple countries.
    • Experience of providing service to international locations



    This role will be supported by the regional shared services support centre and the Global Centre of Excellence.
