  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently recruiting for a Regional Information Modelling Technical Lead at either Principal Consultant or Associate Director grade to support the growing Information Solutions team in London.

    The successful candidate will help clients and our business demonstrate Whole Life Cost efficiency through application of BIM processes. You will engage with potential and new clients, acting as a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ to provide high level consultancy services. As a part of this the successful applicant must be able to successfully analyse client’s needs, developing solutions (both strategic and tactical), recommend course of action and oversee implementation in line with the latest standards and customer expectations.


    Prime Responsibilities & Duties

    • Providing departmental leadership, support and expertise to the Information Solutions team.
    • Managing Project Delivery.
    • Developing the core Information Solutions team.
    • Managing the CAD/Design team responsible for producing and managing graphical data in a structured manner.
    • To act as the interface to the Information Management Lead and the Strategic lead in ensuring all business and team objectives are being met.
    • Ownership and maintenance of the Information Modelling processes, procedures and guidance mechanisms.
    • Interface with the strategic lead and information management lead to agree capacity and availability.
    • Engage with Clients and communicate issues, risks and opportunities.
    • Manage sub-contractors and associates as required to deliver works.
    • Act as coordinating authority in any bidding / proposals.
    • Act as the regional lead to the Information Modelling Team.

    Skills / Qualifications


    • Expert in Information Modelling in Multi-disciplinary projects.
    • Understanding of different CAD software and their functionality.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in a range of methodologies and audience types.
    • Strong managerial skills with experience of managing people.
    • Experience of managing change / business transformation within an organisation.
    • Highly implored Leadership skills.
    • In depth understanding of the PAS1192 standards and associated methodologies.
    • Passion for improvement and continuous development, including upskilling teams.
    • Problem solver focussed on providing solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency within our own teams and our client base.
    • Experience in configuration and implementation of multiple software packages for use in projects.
    • Ownership of Information Modelling Processes and Policies.
    • Stakeholder engagement.
    • Higher / tertiary qualifications.



    • Appropriate BIM, CAD, Data, Project Management qualifications or certificates.
    • Membership of an Engineering Institution.
    • Leadership qualifications.
    • Qualifications in management of software applications.
