  • Overview / Responsibilities

    • Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, infrastructure industries and has engineering design experience on large projects.
    • Has experience with development, enhancement, and maintenance of 3D graphic visual display and modeling work.
    • Must have knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
    • Experienced designer with sound technical background and in depth knowledge of manual and CAD drafting techniques.
    • In addition to being able to fulfill the responsibilities and duties of Senior Structural Designer, a Senior Structural Designer Engineer shall:
    • Assists the design supervisor in coordinating design management with engineering discipline lead engineers.
    • Responsible for preparing and review of calculations, design drawings, and other information
    • Supports construction and procurement with preparation of drawings and material take-offs.
    • Reviews as-built drawings and assists with collection of design information required by construction and procurement.
    • Provide guidance to Designer and CADD operators.
    • Conversant with codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation applicable to drafting function.
    • Familiar with and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting for drafting function.
    • Experienced in the supervision of discipline designers and draftsmen.
    • Able to estimate man-hours and materials for delegated aspects of work.
    • Able to liaise with project/lead engineers at all levels.
    • Computer literate (database/spreadsheets).
    • Conversant with company and Client drafting standards and specifications.
    • Conversant with company quality control assurance requirements applicable to drafting function.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years’ Experience.
    • 3 Years’ Diploma.
    • Licentiate of appropriate engineering institution or equivalent preferred. 
    • Lifting and carrying things offshore
