  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood have a requirement for a Business Support Co-ordinator to provide office management services on a client site in Teesside, this is a permanent position, 2 days (16 hours) per week.


    • To administer the weekly payroll system for the Maintenance Programme and Turnaround/Shutdown’s when needed 
    • Ensure basic wages, plus any additional payments are input into the pay system in good time to ensure labour wages paid on time 
    • Support the project manager and site team with knowledge of the local site agreements in respect of pay rates
    • Set up systems to manage labour and supervision wages
    • Ensure recruits and transfers have signed contacts in place
    • Work closely with the pay roll / wages department
    • Actively resolve any workforce pay queries
    • Support the project manager and site team general logistic support for the event, minor purchasing, etc
    • Ensure sufficient PPE / small tools / consumables are in place
    • Purchase minor items for the smooth running of the TAR office
    • Be actively involved in the demobilisation process, when necessary

    Skills / Qualifications


    • Previous payroll experience and knowledge of Payroll Systems and process
    • Knowledge of working agreements
    • Knowledge of overtime uplifts, radius payments, lodge, travel allowances, holiday pay, 2nd Tier bonus etc
    • Strong user of Excel
    • Petrochemical / Chemical site experience
    • Shutdown / TAR experience
