  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Site Document Controller to be based in Umkomaas, KZN.


    • Implement and action the Project Document Control and assist in the development of document control systems and procedures specific to the Project
    • Work in a safe manner, complying with and actively contributing to the Wood Health, Safety and Environmental HSE policies, manuals and procedures. Consider the health, safety and welfare of fellow workers, visitors, clients, community and the environment
    • Follow all Company Procedures and Practices
    • Print, and copy drawings and documents
    • Liaise with Client, JV Partner and Suppliers
    • File documents
    • Perform data entry of Purchase Order Details, Design and Vendor documentation
    • Prepare transmittals
    • Expedite squad check system
    • Upload documents into SharePoint libraries and sending of notifications via SharePoint
    • Advise the Lead Document Controller or Project Manager of any problems
    • Refer to the Lead Document Controller or Project Manager any specifically requested project requirements


    Skills / Qualifications

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience on large projects
    • Detailed knowledge and use of MS Office Suite
    • Adobe
    • Convero
    • Sharepoint
    • Has knowledge about Wood procedures and processes
