  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for an ERP Project Controls Systems Administrator to support the Clean Energy team based in Glasgow.

     

    The primary role of the ERP Project Controls Systems Administrator is to provide support to STS operational teams in the job set up, project system assurance and maintenance requirements of the Oracle ERP system. In addition supporting the local project control and operational teams where required.

    The ERP Project Controls Systems Administrator will be able to utilise the Oracle Project Management (OPM) module to deliver the efficient and accurate creation of jobs across contracts and assignments.

    The ERP Project Controls Systems Administrator will be the local Oracle focal point for all system activities relating to the “job set up to billing” business process. In addition supporting STS regional deployments of Oracle providing guidance and support to system functionality, data migration, training and the operational go-live transition.

     

    Responsibilities: 

    • Central point of contact for job set up, management and maintenance
    • Set up projects in Oracle across multiple service lines utilising Job Notification Form (JNF) information
    • Set up project, budgets, key member tables and purchase order agreements in Oracle system
    • Maintain and manage SharePoint job number system and process
    • Central point of contact for employee booking allocations to assign resources to designated projects following instruction from operational teams across multiple service lines
    • Liaising with project managers to ensure project data is complete and kept up to date i.e. key members, project start and end dates etc.
    • Knowledgeable understanding of the Oracle system and monitor and track functionality issues and who/how to involve in resolving them
    • Responsible for monitoring incoming purchase orders via mailbox and pass to relevant contract
    • Monitor the project work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget set-up and approvals
    • Monitor cost commitments and expenditures on projects where required
    • Perform weekly time writing reporting for operational locations and/or contracts
    • Assist Project Accountants and Billing Specialists in the Billing process and any other cost related queries
    • Support Wood STS financial and commercial targets and improvement initiatives

    Skills / Qualifications

    Skills:

    • Experience and knowledge of using Oracle within the Wood business preferable
    • Excellent Excel skills
    • Must be able to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work well in a team and independently
    • Strong communication and influencing skills
    • Exceptional organisational skills and able to multi-task

     

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Experience in related position is preferable
