  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Junior Structural Engineer to join our team in Baku, Azerbaijan. The successful candidate will Develop in accordance with Graduate Training Programme towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.

     

    Important Note - we will only consider applications from Azerbaijani nationals only.

     

    • Interact with multi-discipline engineering teams
    • Demonstrate understanding of and work to discipline specific Procedures
    • Actively progress through the discipline Graduate Training Programme towards becoming a Chartered Engineer
    • Showing an enthusiasm to learn
    • Executing assigned personal objectives
    • Executing assigned work tasks
    • Develop team working and communication skills
    • Agree a personal career development plan towards Chartered Engineer status with Head of Process Discipline ( Process Discipline Focal Point )
    • Progress of training and development in line with plan
    • Effective delivery of assigned work scopes in accordance with Engineering & Design Process and Procedures

    Skills / Qualifications

    Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project / contract interfaces

     

    Engage with inter-discipline Community

    Establishing an awareness of external stakeholders including: Industry bodies, academia, vendors, client interface (as appropriate and requested)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualificatio
    • BSc, B.Eng or equivalent with some relevant experienceMinimum Experience
    • Some relevant experience.Job-Specific Skills
    • Intellectually capable, demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context
    • Professional demeanor, interpersonal skills
    • Able to demonstrate a level of team working skills
    • Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn
