  • Overview / Responsibilities


    Position Summary:

      • Assure consistency and quality in the Piping, Mechanical and Pipelines Design / Drafting drawing package
      • Have experience in the oil / gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and have engineering design / drafting project experience
      • Must have knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, procedures and specifications
      • Responsible for preparing and reviewing calculations, design drawings, and other information
      • Support construction and procurement with preparation of drawings and material take-offs
      • Prepare complete bills of materials for all drawings
      • Review as-built drawings and assist with collection of design information required by construction and procurement
      • Have experience with development, enhancement, and maintenance of 3D graphic visual display and modeling wor

    • Responsibilities or Duties:


        • Update the Mechanical, Piping and Pipelines Design / Drafting stick files
        • Perform vendor data review of equipment and components in their assigned area
        • Support Design Supervisor in maintaining a needs list of design criteria to support completion of their assigned area
        • Support Design Supervisor and Project Management in presentation to project team to support Design / Drafting concepts and progress
        • Be familiar with Piping, Mechanical and Pipeline Design/Drafting department standards and procedures and support the Design Supervisor in interpretation and implementation of standards and procedures
        • Support the Design Supervisor in the review of existing Design/Drafting standards and procedures and recommend changes and revisions to existing standards and procedures as required
        • Responsible for preparing and review of calculations
        • Responsible for preparation of complete bill of materials for all discipline drawings
        • Responsible for checking of CADD drawings for projects
        • Assist CADD operators in the production of drawings for projects
        • Responsible for drawing search, data gathering from library and from site
        • Responsible for reviews of as-built drawings and assists with collection of design information required by construction and procurement
        • Supports construction and procurement with preparation of drawings and material take-offs.
        • Assists in the development of discipline project documentation and design data records
        • Interface with design disciplines regarding development of mechanical, piping and pipelines drawings
        • Assist in maintaining the departmental quality systems

    Skills / Qualifications


    Minimum 7 years of experiance

    Engineering Associate Degree or Equivalent

    Additional Requirements:

    • Windows skills as follow:
      • Windows file management.
      • Microsoft Office and Outlook
    • Microstation skills as follow:
      • Orthographic projection of objects to create plans and sections.
      • Understanding relationship of drawing scales and dimensioning
      • Basic CADD commands, layers, line types, dimensioning, model space paper space relationships, text styles and shapes, plotting, snap etc.
      • Xref / Reference usage
      • AutoSACs utilitzation
    • OPTIONAL : SmartPlant P&ID skill as follow:
      • Draft P&IDs in SmartPlant
      • Create symbols / graphic cells.
      • Import/Export across projects
      • Troubleshoot SPP&ID issues
    • OPTIONAL: PDS / S3D / REVIT skill as follow:
      • Full Equipment modeling
      • Grade/Road modeling
      • Full mechanical and piping design
      • Basic frameworks
      • Clash check / resolution
      • Isometric extraction
      • GA/Orthographic extraction
      • Navisworks Advanced (marking comments, section views, color schemes, filters)
