  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Co-ordinator with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.





    Responsible for the coordination and execution of facilities and site services maintenance activities relating to buildings and site infrastructure requirements ensuring that work is executed safely, according to agreed priorities and in the most cost effective manner through work preparation and interface with the alliance partners.



    Details of Services Provided


    • Acts as a champion for the client Safety Principles
    • Liaise with the parties responsible for each plant area to ensure civil and maintenance work plan is correctly prioritized and the relevant permits to work are in place.
    • Provide necessary input to maintenance planners to ensure a detailed and accurate work plan and agree work norms for planning processes.
    • Supports the site TAR, Overhauls and Project Managers with the establishment of temporary accommodation, welfare facilities and services as required and ensuring a safe, timely and cost effective outcome for all outages and projects
    • Work with the different trade Team leaders to ensure minimal interruption to maintenance work and acts as ‘gatekeeper’ to control and schedule emergent work.
    • Manages the work of 3rd party companies and support contracts to ensure effective working and adherence to site procedures.
    • Monitors the maintenance schedule to ensure no work order back log or missed work.
    • Ensures work is charged to the correct work orders to ensure cost transparency and to assist budget control.
    • Monitors and expedites the repair / recommissioning of defective civils and equipment.
    • Supports onsite project work by ensuring that all aspects of facilities and civil activities required by the projects are coordinated safely and efficiently.
    • Proactively identifies and schedules area improvement work
    • Progresses improvement projects with project manager, engineers, facilities.
    • Identifies and encourages opportunities for maintenance and refurbish activities to be carried out by facilities management company and qualified site personnel.
    • Monitors and reviews effectiveness of the maintenance service provision.
    • Responsible for the safe and productive completion of FM activities and ensures that all records, drawings and certification associated with activities complies with the client SHE and Quality management review procedures.
    • Ensure we maintain compliance with site buildings statutory requirements.
    • Responsible for ensuring work is carried out to an agreed standard, fully completes and the work area left in a clean and tidy condition.

    Skills / Qualifications


    • General education attainment equivalent to HNC level or relevant experience.
    • 5 years relevant experience in areas of building, civil engineering and facilities management operations and maintenance processes.



    • Awareness of ISO 9000:2001 & 14001
    • Trained and validated to Level 3 permit issue.
