  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking to recruit a competent Contracts Manager to join our Al Zour team to be based in Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall commercial management of the EPC package to which assigned – in accordance with KIPIC commercial standards and rules and protection of KIPIC contractual and commercial position on EPC package to which assigned.


    • Prepare monthly commercial / contracts report for EPC package for inclusion in weekly and monthly project reports to KIPIC
    • Maintain Wood contract commercial records and files for client scrutiny and audit
    • Prepare and review of EPC package tender prior to release to market
    • Process tender queries from bidders including commercial impact review and response to bidders
    • Prepare bid evaluation procedures and programs, leadership of tender evaluation, pre-award bidder clarifications and award of contract recommendation for client approvals
    • Manage post-award contracts and administration activities including conducting kick-off meetings, coordination of all contract submittals and correspondence, preparation and process of adjustment orders, claims and close out
    • Review and approve of EPC contractor invoices and supporting data
    • Liaise with the EPC contractor on all contractual and commercial matters
    • Lead and participate in regular EPC progress, commercial review and liaison meetings with both client and contractor
    • Maintain lines of communication and relationship with client commercial and contracts teams to ensure that all issues are known to relevant personnel at all times
    • Perform functional management of the commercial / contracts team within the EPC package to which assigned
    • Manage final financial closure of the EPC contract

    Skills / Qualifications

    • BSc in Engineering
    • Membership of reputable professional Organization (MRICS or similar)
    • Minimum 25 years’ post-graduate experience
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the designation
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience in PMC / EPC organizations in the field of Refinery / Petrochemical industries and must have handled contract administration work for major projects of value not less than US$ 500 million each
