  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Marketing Lead to join the team on a staff basis in Glasgow.

    The Marketing Lead is responsible for the planning and execution of all elements of Wood’s external marketing communication activities.

    The primary objective of this role is to support the Marketing Manager, to develop and support the implementation of effective marketing programmes and campaigns which are either regionally or service line focused.

    The role holder will mentor the Marketing Advisors and help to deliver regional and service line marketing plans in line with Group strategy.

    The role holder will be accountable for delivering timely, creative, measurable revenue generating campaigns and commercialisations that successfully position Wood.

    Duties Include:

    Support the Marketing Manager by ensuring alignment and consistency with strategy, style and key messages is continually met

    • Lead in the development of on and offline campaigns and materials to reach defined target audiences
    • Work closely with BD and leadership teams to understand service line/regional business plans, in order to develop targeted, revenue generating external engagement activities
    • Provide direction and leadership to the Marketing Advisors to ensure alignment and consistency with strategy, style and messaging
    • Identify the needs, coordinate the production and oversee the distribution of marketing collateral
    • Responsible for the maintaining the upkeep of collateral on the various internal/external platforms e.g. website and knowledge hub
    • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of marketing plans. Maintain and monitor budgets
    • Liaise with communications team to obtain the best placements and visibility for Group
    • Facilitate and coordinate the Group’s participation and engagement at tradeshows, conferences and other client related events to enhance and increase awareness of company solutions
    • Responsible for tracking and evaluating marketing led activities
    • Liaise with proposals teams as required to support successful bids
    • Collaborate with customers and new Group businesses to understand functional/regional marketing objectives, programmes and

    Skills / Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in marketing or related area
    • Knowledge, skills and experience:
    • Strong experience in a marketing or similar role, preferably within the energy industry but not critical
