  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently hiring a Turnover Engineer for the Clean Fuels Project in Kuwait.

     

    Our client, The Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), is implementing a major project, the Clean Fuel Project (CFP) which comprises the upgrade of two existing refineries.  The Clean Fuels Project is a major upgrade and expansion of the existing Mina Al-Ahmadi (MAA) and Mina Abdullah (MAB) refineries. The objective is to increase the overall throughput by 264,000 bpsd to 800,000 bpsd and to increase conversion of fuel oil to higher value products to meet expected market demand and specs for low Sulphur content transport fuels.

     

    1. Define and itemize the entire work scope into system packages to enable useful commissioning and startup work to take place in a controlled and disciplined manner by utilizing FWUK OU, Client, contractor and vendor engineering documentation and electronic data
    2. Transfer responsibility for the works to the startup and commissioning organization ensuring that system turnover is fully accepted by signature
    3. Compile agreed lists of system exception items to be completed by agreed dates, and to monitor and record completion of such exception items
    4. Compile, collate, store and turnover the construction quality data books for final transfer to Client and FWUK OU

    Skills / Qualifications

    • BSc Engineering Degree
    • Minimum of 12 years of total experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in Petrochemical and Refinery
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role
