  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical Precommissioning Supervisor who will represent the company on-site at the STAD A.Ş. - Aliağa Oil Storage Terminal Expansion Project, which is located in Aliağa - İzmir, West of Turkey.

     

    • Manage, support, implements effective and safe pre-commissioning scope of work
    • Interface and interact with Construction team and commissioning team in order to ensure smooth transition (Turnover) of System
    • Interface and interact with Client and Subcontractors teams in order to facilitate good communication between parties involved
    • Fully aware of Safety rules and regulations with strong orientation to implement safety performance of pre-commissioning activities (LOTO, PTW, BODO, etc.)
    • Proficient in reading technical drawings and documentation (P&ID, PFD, and ISO) and in Pre-commissioning defined activities (Systems cleaning, drying, purging, leak testing of systems, piping, static and rotating equipment, chemical loading/first filling, etc.)
    • Check condition of equipment with respect to compliance with Project drawings, with Manufacturer’s instructions, with safety rules, codes and good construction practice
    • Prepare, revise and implement pre-commissioning documentation, including pre-commissioning procedures, check sheets, tests
    • Ensure presence of all resources necessary to perform all pre-commissioning required activities and tests
    • Plan, coordinate, supervise execution of pre-commissioning activities and tests, according with Project standards and requirements
    • Manage and control manpower allocated in order to complete all activities optimizing costs and timing of finalization
    • Plan, coordinate, witness and support vendor’s site activities
    • Proficient in monitoring technical activities in order to identify, isolate, analyze and troubleshoot problems occurred in field of scope of work
    • Verify and support implementation of systemization in construction finalization of scope of work
    • Verify and ensure conformity of construction scope of work related to process implementation and functional equipment erected in system and subsystems
    • Attend, generate, follow and expedite Construction Punch List closing in strict compliance with specifications and in accordance with Punch List Procedure
    • Prepare and control progress reports on pre-commissioning activities

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process Technology
    • 10 years’ experience on Pre-Commissioning and Precommissioning supervision activities of industrial projects
    • Fluent in Turkish and English
